Vatting
Vatted malts are a marriage of different single malts and contain none of the grain whisky which would otherwise turn it in to a blended whisky. One reason for their introduction was to try and encapsulate the taste of a region or to marry the more desirable characteristics of different malts to produce an entirely new taste.
